This information comes from the the Connect Chagos book, which was created as a lasting legacy of the Connect Chagos project. The project, created in 2012, aimed to engage with the UK's Chagossian communities to increase environmental awareness and to contribute to the conservation of the Chagos Archipelago. Designed and implemented by ZSL and funded by Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Chagos Conservation Trust and the Darwin Initiative, it is a great educational resource for everyone.
