- GIS-based substrate area estimates at different depths for the Chagos Archipelago.**TABLE 1.** Structure and number of records in data sets. Great Chagos Bank (3) includes the following submerged reefs and banks: Speakers Bank, Colvocoresses Reef, Blenheim Reef, Victory Bank, Cauvin Bank, Pitt Bank, Wight Bank, Ganges Bank, Centurion Bank.Great Chagos Bank (4) includes Victory and Cauvin Banks only. Peros Banhos includes Benares Shoals.**TABLE 2.** The summarised surfaces of each atoll’s islands and awash areas. Awash area of Great Chagos Bank estimated through interpolation.**TABLE 3.** Areas at varying intervals from 0 to 500 metres deep (rounded to 0.1 km2). Note: Figures that are crossed contain obvious but explicable errors.
