Quadcopter flying on Middle Brother

The operator here is using a quadcopter with a high definition camera, flying it from the beach. This camera has been used to fly over shallow reef flats in order to determine the density of coral cover on the reef flat, and also over vegetation on the island both to look for ponds, patches of hardwood amongst the coconuts, and even for nesting birds. They are relatively simple to use and their use provides information otherwise impossible to obtain, as well as interesting scenes and general impressions of the area.
